Since the dawn of time Selune's battle with Shar has raged. A Quiet reserved diety of great power Selune seems somewhat saddened at times but when it comes to her conflict with Shar she is as fierce as the War God Tempus.

There was a time millenia past when Selune and her Allies almost won the eternal war but it would have cost the world of Toril and this was a price Selune could not bear to pay. In her current weaken state she draws heavily upon the Alliances of the Gods of Light to defend her.
